Oh Beth, am so sorry that it's taken me so long to answer. Just found you response. I really am no techy but ANY stretch. Also am terrible about checking my website and haven't written in a while. But I so enjoyed writing about Hariet. You really caught her essence. She 'abhorred' people being unhappy and made it her mission to make them laugh and feel better about their lives. "And this too shall pass." "That's yesterday's news." Always moving forward. Hope you both are fine. Matt loved your response also. We're still trying to sell the house, and then we move back West. Will let you know. Meanwhile please keep in touch.

Helen,

I just read A Farewell Year, which brought me to tears and laughter. Thank you for writing such a beautiful piece on such a wonderful lady. She was the best of the strong, brilliant woman who could laugh and make you forget your problems. I miss that wonderful laugh and her attitude of being carefree. I hope I can be just a little of what she was.
